Attention Donate Life Club – please meet in Mrs. Van Curen's room today during Period X.

 

There will be a meeting of the Drama Club today during period X.   Please attend – we will be updating you on this weekend’s play and discussing the upcoming Theatre Banquet and this summer’s Theatre Camp.

 

Attention students – Do you want to compete in a “3-on-3 Basketball Tournament” ??  The YMCA is having a battle on Sunday, May 7th.  Gather your friends and start practicing!  Pick up an application in the Main Office to participate. 

 

Attention Students interested in taking Driver Education this Summer at Portville …the main office is now taking names.  Please stop in to put your name on the list.   You must be at least 16 years old and have your Driver’s Permit.

 

It’s that time of year again!   The Main Office needs creative and artistic students to create covers for next year’s Student Agenda handbook.  There are 2 covers – Middle School and High School.  If you would like to submit a handmade or computerized art piece and take a chance at winning a Cash Award – PLEASE stop in to pick up a Contest Application today!  Since the deadline isn’t until May 26th  – you have time to create a Masterpiece!

 

Good morning Panthers,  Some news from the Track attack!  …

The Modified Track team was most impressive @ Jamestown’s Strider Field last night. There were several early season personal bests and several more impressive performances AS Portville handled Jamestown-Jefferson & Westfield rather handily.  The Girls were led by Jackie Daley and the sprints corps.  The Boys were led by Alex Wenke and the hurdlers, Jumpers and sprinters.

The MODS will be @ HOME this Thursday………competition will begin @ 4:30pm.  We hope to see you there.

 

Last night the varsity baseball team upped their record to 3 and 1, with a fireworks filled 15-10 win over Franklinville. Colin Kloc earned the win on the mound, throwing 4 and one third innings, striking out 4. In an unprecedented move, DJ Hlasnick earned his second straight POG honor, going 3 for 4 with 2 doubles, 4 runs scored, and 2 RBIs. Adam Wray had 3 hits and 3 RBIs, Nick Stein had 2 hits, and scored 3 runs. Colin Kloc and Cameron Lott added doubles, Adam Wray stole 3 bases, Nick Stein stole 2, and Ronnie Lott and Brendan Tobola each stole one. Portville opens up league play Friday at home against Salamanca.
